The operating layer for MSPs needs an operating team.
We're three people building Catalyst OS — a modular platform that runs the five business workflows MSPs lose money on every quarter. These are our first three hires.
Catalyst Shift builds the operating layer for MSPs. Catalyst OS is a modular platform that runs five core business workflows — QBR automation, churn early warning, proposal generation, pipeline visibility, and content authority — for owner-led MSPs who've outgrown spreadsheets and willpower.
We're three Co-Founders. The Early Adopter Program is open and the work is moving faster than three people can deliver it on our own, which is why we're ready for the first person who can run client engagements without us in the room.
What you’ll actually do
Take over delivery on active engagements — coordinating with clients, running the platform, surfacing insights, and making sure the deliverables in each SOW are getting tracked and reported. You'll work from a playbook that's already built and stress-tested. Within 60–90 days, you should be running engagements with minimal oversight.
You'll also be the internal operator who helps us see what's working, what's breaking, and what should be systematized next. This role feeds directly into how Catalyst OS gets built.
What we’re looking for
- Background in RevOps, marketing ops, or sales ops — ideally at an agency or MSP
- Fluent in HubSpot or equivalent CRM; comfortable teaching it
- Built automations in Make, Zapier, Clay, or equivalent
- Uses AI tools as a working part of your process, not as an experiment
- Thinks in systems, not tasks — you see a repeating process and immediately want to fix it
- Can run a client relationship with minimal direction within 60–90 days
Not a fit if
- You prefer to advise rather than execute
- You need significant oversight to move independently
- You've only worked in large-team environments with narrow specialization
- You're looking for a traditional marketing or ops role
Compensation
$70,000 – $90,000
Base salary, depending on experience. Performance bonus tied to client retention — when clients stay and expand, you share in that. Remote and async-friendly.
How to apply
No resume required to start. Send three paragraphs: (1) the most complex system or workflow you've built or managed, (2) why this role makes sense for where you are right now, and (3) the tool stack you'd reach for first to automate a repetitive client reporting process.
Qualified candidates will be invited to a paid take-home exercise — 2 hours, compensated — before any interviews.

Catalyst Shift is the operating layer built for MSPs. We run the business workflows that owner-led MSPs can't get to on their own — QBR delivery, churn risk, proposals, pipeline visibility — through a modular platform called Catalyst OS.
Our first delivery hire will be running accounts. This hire owns the client relationship after onboarding — someone clients trust to tell them the truth about their business, document what's working, and identify what they need next.
What you’ll actually do
You own the relationship from signed contract through renewal. That means scheduled QBR calls, tracking the deliverables committed in each SOW, documenting results, flagging churn risk before it becomes churn, and identifying expansion opportunities when clients are ready for additional modules.
You'll be the face of Catalyst Shift to a portfolio of active engagements at a time — single-digits early, building from there as the program scales. Your job is to make sure they stay, expand, and become references.
What we’re looking for
- MSP industry background — you know what a QBR is, why stack optimization conversations happen, what keeps an MSP owner up at night
- Strong communicator in writing and on a call — clients trust you
- Organized and data-oriented without being rigid
- You can read the difference between a quiet client who's satisfied and one who's shopping alternatives
- Accountability-driven — you own your clients' outcomes, not just the relationship
Not a fit if
- You've never managed a business relationship with direct client contact
- You're more comfortable in back-office work than on client calls
- MSP or IT services context is completely unfamiliar
- You're looking for a rapid growth track into sales or leadership — this role owns delivery
Compensation
$60,000 – $80,000
Base salary, depending on experience and MSP industry familiarity. Remote and async-friendly.
How to apply
Send two things: (1) a description of a client relationship you managed — what the engagement looked like, what challenges came up, how it ended — and (2) why this role fits where you are now. One to two paragraphs each.

Catalyst Shift is the operating layer for MSPs. We run five business workflows — QBR automation, churn early warning, proposal generation, pipeline visibility, content authority — for owner-led MSPs through a modular platform called Catalyst OS.
The delivery process works. The playbook is proven. This hire's job is to systematize the repeatable 60% of that work so our delivery team can handle more accounts without adding proportional headcount. What you build today becomes a candidate feature in Catalyst OS tomorrow.
What you’ll actually do
Map existing delivery workflows, identify where human time is being spent on things a tool could handle, and build the automation layer that connects them. That means working inside Make, n8n, or equivalent platforms, connecting APIs between tools, and building internal tooling in Retool or similar.
This is not consumer-product engineering. It's internal infrastructure — the kind that compounds operator time as the client base grows. Every repeating pattern you solve becomes a Catalyst OS feature in waiting.
What we’re looking for
- Fluent in at least one no-code/low-code automation platform — Make, n8n, or Zapier at minimum
- Can work with APIs directly when connectors don't cover what you need
- Has built internal ops tools before — not apps for consumers, but tools that make a small team run faster
- Sees a manual process and can architect a better one, then build it
- Comfortable working from an existing playbook rather than a blank whiteboard
Not a fit if
- Your background is primarily consumer product development
- You prefer greenfield product work over internal operational tooling
- You need a large engineering team around you to do your best work
- You're uncomfortable working from an existing process rather than designing from scratch
Compensation
$65,000 – $85,000
Base salary, depending on depth of automation experience and the complexity of systems you've shipped. Remote and async-friendly.
How to apply
No resume required to start. Tell us about a workflow or system you automated that had real impact — what the problem was, what you built, what it replaced. One to two paragraphs is enough.
